Across the UK, organisations are looking for steady, confident ways to move from AI curiosity to meaningful action. Estu’s Operationalising AI Skills Bootcamp is providing that pathway, and the strength of the current pilot is already driving a national rollout.

Delivered from Rothamsted Research Park in Hertfordshire for the in-person days, the pilot brings together 30 organisations from across public and private sectors, from Warner Bros to small businesses. Over ten weeks, teams are building internal capability, confidence and commercial clarity around AI, supported by expert tutors and a highly engaged cohort.

Participants are developing impact-centred use cases specific to their organisations, including:

  • Co-pilot optimisation and workflow automation
  • Research and reporting acceleration
  • Income improvement and customer service enhancement
  • Threat intelligence automation
  • LocalGPT implementation

The programme is oversubscribed, with many participants able to access public funding. What stands out is the blend of practical technical exploration with firm business alignment. Organisations are seeing immediate gains while also shaping longer-term value and resilience.

The connectivity within the group is a defining feature. Global brands and local innovators share insight and approaches, building relationships that continue well beyond each session.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon captured the shift when he told The Wall Street Journal, “Maybe there’s a job in the world that AI won’t change, but I haven’t thought of it. The most coveted workers will always be those with the flexibility to combine soft skills and technical skills.”

Estu’s Operationalising AI programme helps organisations and their people build exactly that mix.
